About Old Street Brewery
Old Street Brewery & Taproom is an independent craft brewery based in London, producing bold American-style beers with uncompromising flavour. Known for creativity, experimentation, and distinctive artwork, the brewery has become a recognised name in the UK craft beer scene.
Our beers are brewed with a strong focus on quality ingredients, innovation, and a passion for pushing boundaries beyond conventional styles.
Our Origin Story
Old Street Brewery began with its founder Adam, an American who settled in London and began brewing beer in a small flat near Old Street Roundabout. Early experiments laid the foundation for what would become a fully independent brewery.
In 2018, the brewery found its first permanent home in Bethnal Green, operating with small-scale equipment, hard work, and a growing team. Continued demand led to expansion, and in 2021 a larger brewhouse opened in Hackney Wick with a 12,000-litre capacity.
